Book review: The Wrong Way Home by Kate O'Shaughnessy

 Book description:

Life on the Ranch was perfect. One day Fern's mother decides to leave the Ranch with Fern. Fern tries desperately to get back to the Ranch while questioning if the Ranch is what she still wants.

Book review:

It is hard to leave a cult even if it is against your will, even if leaving is the best thing for you. This book shows how hard it is to leave especially kids who have grown up in it and that is all they know. This book shows that nothing is 100% good or 100% bad and everything is a mix of good and bad. It is ok to miss the good in a bad situation and hate the bad in a good situation. I'm glad that kids books are talking about big topics that are sometimes hard to talk about. This book is so well written and would recommend to pretty much everyone.

Book review: Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

Book description:

Harrowhark became the 9th lyctor to serve the Emperor. While trying to fight an unwinnable war, she is becoming weaker, and she thinks someone is trying to kill her.

Book review:

This book is off putting because it is written in 2nd person and you are again thrust into not really knowing what is happening. It is a bit easier to understand when rereading it. There are memes sprinkled in here and there which I still find weird.

Book review: Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose

 Book description:

After their mother dies, 3 siblings reunite to sort her estate. While going through their parents things, they find a box of videos of their childhoods. While watching they see their father covered in blood, and the body of a missing kid. The siblings try to figure out what happened.

Book review:

I decided to pick this book up after I saw the author signing her books while trying not to get caught. I kinda knew who did it after hearing the moms last words and in my brain I just go 'watch as it's ___'. This book is probably one of the better thrillers I've read based on thrillers aren't really my thing. Very well written and was pretty good.
