Book review: A Snake Falls to Earth by Darcie Little Badger

 Book description:

Nina still believes in the old stories and feels like there's more out there. Oli has been cast out of his home and has found a new one. Neither of them know the other exists until something happens to Oli's best friend and it is up to him to save him.

Book review:

This book took a bit for me to get into but once it got going I couldn't put it down. There were times where I couldn't figure out why things were put in and I couldn't move past until I got answers for what was bothering me. It was well written and would be a good read for people who need something different from what they usually read. I found the concept of false and true forms interesting but in a good way and I would read books with a similar concepts again.

Book review: The Lost Library by Rebecca Stead, Wendy Mass

 Book description:

A mysterious little free library appears overnight with a cat that guards it. Evan plucks 2 books from it randomly not knowing his life is about to change. Evan and his friend, Rafe, discover a link between the books from the little free library and an event that the adults won't talk about.

Book review:

This book was wildly predictable to me. I pretty much knew everything and solved the mystery within pretty much the first 50 pages or so. It was well written and fun to read. I think that the target audience of like 2nd or 3rd graders would enjoy this book the most.

Book review: Loveless by Alice Oseman

 Book description:

Georgia has never kissed someone, even though she wants to. She is surrounded by people who love each other, she doesn't know what is wrong with her. In college she comes to the understanding that she is asexual and aromantic.

Book review:

This book when I first read it a few years ago, made a big impact on me when I was coming to terms with my sexuality. On reread the impact is still there but I can see the few flaws it has when it comes to how surface level they talk about asexuality and aromanticism. It is a good book for people just learning about these topics though. It does read very YA but very good book anyway.
